Accountability and compliance

Protecting consumers and safeguarding the integrity of the financial planning profession are amongst FPA’s highest priorities. Here you will find information about how our disciplinary process works, terminated and suspended members and how to make a complaint about an FPA member.

Professional Accountability Action and Outcomes

See the Professional Accountability Action and Outcomes.

Making a Complaint

FPA members are bound by a strict set of enforceable professional and ethical standards, as set out in our Code of Professional Practice. If you believe an FPA member has breached this Code, it’s important that you let us know.

You can send us information anonymously, or lodge a formal complaint.

Lodging a formal complaint

Complaints that involve evidence of misconduct should be made formally. To help you decide the best course of action to have your complaint resolved, please read this information.

Lodge an anonymous complaint

Anonymous complaints can be made to ensure your identity is protected. The FPA Confidential (Anonymous Reporting) Service is an independent service run by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (by clicking this link you will leave the FPA site and enter Deloitte’s secure site).
